Old Town Alexandria is one of my favorite places to shoot because it has so much variety. You can shoot in the cobblestone alley, inside the neighborhood, or near the waterfront.

Oatlands Historic House and Gardens
If you’re looking for photos at a beautiful historic manor with manicured gardens then this is the location for you. This beautiful property is located in Leesburg VA.
Permit Cost: $100 and must be reserved in advance.
Meadowlark Botanical Gardens
This beautiful garden is located in Vienna VA.
Permit Cost: $50 plus the admission fee for each guest. Permit must be obtained in advanced
Carlyle House & Gardens
Located in Old Town Alexandria - This location pairs greatly with any other location in Old Town Alexandria. This location has the elegant mansion looks and the manicured gardens.

Great Falls Park
Great Falls Park in Virginia is the perfect backdrop for couples who love nature and would like photos on the beautiful overlooks.
Fee: $15 per vehicle - Paid when entering the Park
Morven Park
If you’re looking for large open fields, ivy covered walls, hidden garden pools, and more - then this is the location for you.

Raven’s Roost Overlook
Located off the Blueridge Parkway in Lyndhurst VA. This is a popular location for couples who want the mountain view.

Great Marsh Estate
Historic Mansion in Bealeton, VA. This is a wedding venue so your engagement session has to be on a weekday.
